Red Hat 5.2 and matrox millenium g2 agp - HELP!

As above. Prob. with xwindows. Xconfigurator don't recognise ram on me vid card. I know to use the svga xserver but all I can get is resolution of 300x240 and an error saying not enuf video memory. Can any of u beautiful people help me ?
