Paid for a course?

So I'm doing a course in work, which is being organised by my employers/managers, a health and safety course, which I have to take two days off for(which I would regularly be working for), and I'm not getting paid.
This is two days work(let's say, for arguments sake that it's 60EUR per day) that I'm missing out on because of this course - 120EUR, which I would normally be getting-I get paid per hour, not salary.
I have been working in this place for about the last 8 months, 5 days a week.
The course is apparently costing my employers 250EUR per person, for the two days, but should I be getting paid for it, or is it just a matter of tough luck?

I would imagine that you should get paid for this.

If it's at the request of your employer that you do this course, you should be paid.
