    I think declaring something is retro..is retro lol.. i've heard people go on since the mid nineties about what was suddenly retro, now that it's 2005 I think claiming something is retro is decidely retro. :D

    I would consider something retro if it is not being used or not being done by the majority of people.

    No one wears duffle coats anymore hence they are retro

    No one watches Different Strokes on TV anymore, hence it is retro

    No one buys vynil singles anymroe hence they are retro.

    lots of people talk about things being retro still, hence it is not retro.

    You'd be surprized how much vinyl is still sold.

    My iPod is considered retro by many people... now that's something I find very strange...

    Although it is a 1st generation iPod that I bought the day it launched... it has a wheel that actually turns and sharp edges as opposed to the current smooth edges.
