Really enjoyed this episode and it was nice to see some of the other characters getting something to do for a change. I like the dynamic that is developing between Sheppard, Teyla and Ronin. Dr Weir still seems like a fifth wheel to me though.

After the SG1 ep this seemed good initially, it wasn't, it was mediocre at best, another Frankenstein ripoff, at least there was the retrovirus element, that at least pushed the ep along. Pity the girl died, felt they could have run with that a bit. They Doc and the girl acted the pants off the regulars this week too, I felt they were going through the motions a bit. I only hope they dont become characatures of themselves, Jack balanced that aspect perfectly in SG1

Thought it was a bit contrived but it was still passable enough. The title of the episode almost tells you what the storyline will be. Even so I still feel I'm watching a season with a plan from beginning to end.

This episode was terrible slow and drawn out. This would have been better placed as a 5 minute ep during the SG1 ad break. Perhaps next weeks will be better :(

Bit boring. Jewel, you're a lovely gal to turn up on Wednesday, but you didn't get SGA at its best. It was too much of a Frakenstein ripoff and I felt that the retrovirus smacked a little of tretonin - a handy solution to solve a disease/problem. Now, thankfully, in this case it didn't work but even so...

It just felt all a little "by the numbers". Sure the characters were fine and all but I just really never got into it. An "ok" from me because, at least, it didn't have the audacity to have sky scrapers vanish.

Just discovered this was part 1 of an unofficial 2 parter that was just setting the scene for what looks like a great second part :)

Ah, I was wondering what was up when Shepard was looking at his wound.
Seemed to dwell on this just a little too much. Don't look at the scifi website if you don't want to know what's coming.

Thought this episode was OK, a little slow though.

Yep the second part to the story looks very interesting. I liked this ep. But not only because Jewel was in it. But because it opened up the story for the wraith reto-virus. I've heard they will be doing some interesting stuff with it of the coming eps.

I liked this episode. Nobody blew up any stars, set off any nukes, or created any black holes, but in any series, you have to have some down-to-earth episodes where people show what they're up to during the normal day-to-day events on Atlantis. This episode showed us precisely what the exploration team are up to on normal days, and what Beckett is up to. Lets face it, you can't expect him to sit around bandaging up people all the time - there has to be more to his role than just that. In my opinion, they achieved their goal in this episode pretty well, and I enjoyed it. No dum-dum-dum music, no scientific inaccuracies. ;)

wonder why they didn't use an ancient scanning device to find the wraith tho, instead of wandering around a forest like a buncha boyscouts

Yeh it would have of made sense to use the scanners, maybe they only wk wth a puddle-jumper.

I found this ep enjoyable, not as exiting as wraith attacks, or new weapons, but enjoyable nonetheless.
I also like the way it follows on from in the second part nd develops the story.

I agree that they achieved their goal.
I thought it was a good episode with a good story and good background.
The whole Beckitt and retro virus htign was very good imo and the twists were good too.
