psp european release?

so i heard the psp will be 2.0 when it is released.
what i want to know is there any exploits available yet for 2.0?
I want to get one around christmas, but not if i cant do any fun things like you can with 1.0 and 1.5

there is talk on the net that v2.o has been hacked already & that they are waiting for the offical euopean release on the 1st.

i reckon its a save bet that it will be hacked by xmas mate

Wouldnt get ur hopes up, i read that german psp's are coming with 1.52 on them with 2.0 on a disc(so probably sampler disc), the japanese 2.0 isnt the same as the US 2.0 (they must have found holes and fixed them for US release) and so the european version could be different too. So if u buy a european psp, a hacked japanese 2.0 might be no use to you and not many hacking groups would have access to the european 2.0 yet. Hopefully someone releases a hack of all 2.0's to coincide with the euro launch but i wouldnt bet on it.

I heard the European relase is 1.5 on the PSP and 2.0 on the demo UMD. If I dont use the demo disk will this mean I can stick to the 1.5 firmware?

WAB have a firmware downgrader for 1.51 and 1.52. It'll be released September 1st. The US 2.0 is exactly the same as the Jap one.

They might be the same feature wise but I doubt there 100% the same security wise as the files sizes are meant to be different sizes and it took them a few weeks to release the US 2.0. And im sure i read that there was a new japanese 2.0 released around the time of the US 2.0 release so if thats true then there is definitely something up with the originally released one.

Also, the downgrader hasn't being tested on a european 1.52 as "Yoshi" doesnt have access to one ,so its not 100% guaranteed that it will work.

thats not a downgrader it merely a spoof thing for 1.00 and 1.5 to make the umds think the psp is 1.52 or higher [i.e 2.00 etc] so games that require 2.00 etc will run.

Thats a different program called wab version changer ( and it'll be no use when games need 2.0 as they will need api's from the 2.0 firmware). The downgrader which downgrades a 1.52/1.51 to 1.50 will be released when yoshi can test it on a european psp according to various sites, and its being reported that some stores in france are updating the psp's to 2.00 before they sell them. So sony must being telling all stores to do this as they are worried about ppl downgrading.

eventually we will all have to upgrade, to play online or something, theres gonna be something but for now i hope 2.00 is HACKED, i think irish ones are gonna be 2.00]

Kaz from our forums took it upon himself to see a buddy down at his local Sony store, and has confirmed three points of interest of the European PSP launch for us:

-Contrary to my personal suspicions, European PSP software is indeed Region 2 -The software requires firmware version 1.52, so we can safely assume the European PSP will be launching with firmware version 1.52 as planned (this thread)

it was justs o funny coming from him, anyway, i think its 1.52 as 2.00 comes on the demo disc. HMV "free" goodybags only have one XL shirt, crap.

i got a PSP+Ridge Racer+Virtua Tennis +Acessory pack + Underworld umd = 364 euros.

That gives me an idea, HMV or game or one of those places should have a contest for different multiplayer games, the winner advancing onto the next round and whoever wins in the end gets some sort of prize.

when i was in ny i had the psp and found loads of open hotspots, but had to use the browser in wipeout pure, but the sites took ages to load and i mean ages to load even when wlan power save was off.
