Anyone ever buy from Pixmania ?

Did your stuff ever actually arrive ?

I ordered a USB hub & a UPS on 12th August. Both were 'In Stock', according to the website.

The tracking number that appeared for my order on the website was delivered to sombody in Holland on 30th July.

I sent an email to the customer care address on their 'contact us' page; got this reply:

Dear Customer,

This is an automatic answer to inform you that unfortunately your email could not be processed.

In order to contact us, please send your request directly through our site by using the question table that is accessible both in the FAQ section and via the following link Contact us .

This will enable us process your request more efficiently and it will be answered within 24 hours .

The website link www.mypixmania.com seems to be run totally separately from 'Pixmania.com'. When I tried to log in, my account did not exist.

Then the USB Hub finally arrived in a padded envelope on monday, with an invoice that had a note down the bottom:

Will be delivered to you later:
Inverter 400 UPS Energy Protector

Now its 2 weeks since I made the order, no UPS.

First and last time I'll use Pixmania.

I ordered bout 300quids worth of gear from them Weds and it arrived this morn.Excellent service IMO. Got continous updates via e-mail where my package was and when it was there. Did you order from Pixmania or mypixmania.

My first time using them and im really impressed,will use again.

Yup ^^, i have also only had excellent service from them. I got my delivery in just over 24hours :eek: , very good.
IMO, this place is much better than komplett, price,selection and delivery, all good for me .

I've been using Komplett for years, but I got pissed off recently when GLS couldn't use a phone or find directions to meath.

Back to Komplett with me anyways, they offer 'An Post' as a delivery option now, and our local postman seems to have started reading the address on envelopes now instead of just the town.

It was shipped 12 days after ordering & now its 'on hold' ?

That looks like it has something to do with customs?? May want to phone the airport and see if they can give u some more info.
I really would recommend pix over komplett, this is the first complaint iv heard of, they cant be perfect :rolleyes: .

Given that it came from France, it shouldn't be but who knows what goes on in the minds of whoever organises these things. Perhaps an elephant sat on it.

I checked the DHL tracking again yesterday, to see if the shipment was still on hold before I rang them again.
Nope, delivered.

17 days, 4 phone calls & 2 e-mails to get a UPS.

Back to Komplett with my business.

I ordered three of the HB divx players from them last monday and the paid for DHL delivery...

The order was placed before 1pm so it should have shipped that day....in the end it didnt ship till wed and arrived friday morning ...


I sent them an email via there online FAQ page to complain...I just stated that i was going to take them to the small claims court to get my money back as I didnt get the service which i'd paid for ... (i was chancing me arm)

Monday morning my visa was credited with the €28 shipping charge .. cant say fairer than that

ordered items which are all in stock on monday, order gets set to processing till wednesday, no emails answered...

on wednesday one item in order gets set till not in stock for 2 weeks, it takes pixmania till the following monday to cancel whole order and re-credit visa

its been a week now since i re-ordered, cheap delivery and i think its coming in 2 packages....
