I'm interested in buying a domain name, .com or .ie, whichever's cheaper.

    1. Where do I go?
    2. How much does it cost?
    3. Can I use free web space?
    4. What do I do when I have the name?

Anything at all would be really helpful.
    Thanks
    Karla

If you want to register a domain name in ireland, you gotta go here:

    http://www.ucd.ie/hostmaster/

    that's for a http://www.blah.ie

type url. You can register .com sites in loads of places - check major search engines..

Basically anywhere can be linked to a domain name if it has a unique IP address.

If you're looking for a free domain/web space type setup, maybe the easiest thing to do is to try

    http://welcome.to

for a url such as http://come.to/MySite

The cost of a domain name is about £100 a year, but the come.to redirection shite is free.

    Cheers!
