the built in Infrared one should work connecting over Bluetooth for a GPRS/3G session with the default Access Point set-up on the phone, dialing *99#

or just the right script from:

You can download modem scripts for almost any GPRS phone on Ross Barkmans home page: http://www.taniwha.org.uk/ To use your phone as a modem with a Mac.

bit of an echo in here eh ;)

depends on the make/model of handset, but for Nokia like the OP asked about, the quickest way to try (for GPRS/3G) to see if you can get that working is use the Bluetooth Setup Assistant, entering the default Access Point set-up on the phone [1 see below], enter the user/pass [2, see below], dialing *99#, selecting the bulit-in Nokia Infrared modem, connect using Internet Connect

the ones at http://www.taniwha.org.uk/ you set-up by following the steps in the readme.rtf file that comes in the download (when you unstuff the relevant ones, GSM/HSCSD/GPRS/3G), just make sure you put it in the correct Library/Modem Scripts and make sure to uncheck 'Send PPP Echo Packets' for the connection you set-up

making sure you are set-up by the operator for the correct services and outlining the operator you use, type of account (pre/post pay) and phone model would help get you going if you get stuck setting it up yourself... some info in this thread:
About to ask how to get connected for Web/WAP/Email/MMS/Bluetooth etc.

oh yeah, mobile connectivity isn't cheap so make yourself aware of what your operator charges and if you are using it a lot what bundles, if any, are available

    [1] depending on your account
    vodafone (post-pay): isp.vodafone.ie or office.vodafone.ie
vodafone (pre-pay) not available (at present)
    o2 (post-pay) interent or open.internet
    o2 (pre-pay): pp.internet
    meteor (any): isp.mymeteor.ie

    [2] ISP username/password
    vodafone: vodafone/vodafone
    o2: gprs/gprs (or anything)
    meteor: my/isp (or anything)
