Is it possible to delete a program from the menu over installed program when the program is not really on the computer anymore, when the unreg file cannot be found? Having some problems with that - it's annoying to have a program displayed in the list when it's not on the pc anymore..

    TNX!

Open the Start Menu, go into Run and enter "Regedit". Then, when you're there, find the program name in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\ branch, and delete it. DO NOT delete anything else.

I found a folder called "Camera" with a matching name of the program inside. Should I delete the whole folder "Camera" or just the files inside the folder?

You could rename the folder ("Camera.unused"), or zip them up, and reboot.
If the computer continues happily then I think that you can safely delete the directory. This should ensure that there are no files in that directory that are needed.

First of all, right click on the Camera folder and hit Export. Give it a name and save it. That way, if anything goes wrong you can restore it afterwards by double clicking on the file.

Try deleting just the program name folder first, and check see is it gone. If not, try the Camera folder. It should be gone after deleting the program folder though.

This is inside the registry, so the "Folders" are not actual folders.

This is inside the registry, so the "Folders" are not actual folders.
They are called keys and values. In Registry Editor, under Edit/New it refers to keys and values, not folders or files.

When I used to write install programs I had many confused conversations with QA people as I didn't know whether 'folder' referred to a registry key or an actual folder/directory.

Similar suggestion applies, rename the key, (or File/Export the Selected Branch) and delete it.

I think tweakui and regseeker both let you do this without the need for messy registry editing (there's probably links to both in the free software sticky, but you find both easily with google anyway).
