Map Network Drive as Optical Drive?

The DVD drive in the second computer in my house is currently busted. So I went and mapped to the DVD drive on the first PC as a replacement. This sort of works, but the thing is that the computer just treats the CD as a folder with data in it. And games that need authentication don't load because they say there's no CD. So is there any way to set up the PC so it actually recognises the drive as a drive and not just as a folder?

Try this. I've not used it but it can create virtual CD/DVD drives on your computer. I think you then have to load ISO's into it. Not sure if you can load a directory. Free trial, worth a look.

Yep, that's the way to do it. It also won't rape your network when you're playing the game, just while you copy the ISO across.
Bear in mind it doesn't emulate a DVD recorder, just a reader.
