This is for some of the eBay vetrans out there.
How long do you wait for payment before contacting the buyer?
I have been giving the user 5 days before emailing them. Is this too long/ too short? I realise some people don't have internet access all the time, so I would tend to leave it for a while before contacting them.

    Hi

5 days should be ok, did you send them an invoice after the auction finished?
Most sellers give about 7 days.

    Regards

It would depend what payment method you're using. If it's PayPal, 5 days is loads of time, if they are sending you a banker's draft it could be up to 2 weeks or more before they would get to a bank, get the draft, get it in the post, and it reach you.

7 days - if you haven't got payment (or a reall good excuse - check their feedback) I'd start the non-paying bidder process.

I tend to invoice them immediately and if I hear nothing send a reminder invoice. Most people pay up fairly quickly..

You should have a statement in all your items that non payment within 7 days(or whatever) will result in them getting negative feedback.
Tbh, if you havent been contacted by now, i'd say its a lost cause.
