Gran Canaria - a few questions

    Hi all.

Myself and my gf are going to Playa de Ingles for a week.
What are the Booze Cruises like? Obviously beer is involved but what else happens during the cruise?

Which niteclubs play decent dance music? (no r&b) From what I hear, this kind of thing seems to attract the gay community?

How much is it to rent a jetski for a while?

We went to Lanzarote in April, it looks like it will be a similar holiday but the nightlife seems better in Gran Canaria. Also, any other recommendations, tips and do's/dont's welcome,

    Loobz

Iv been there a few times... Never went on the Booze Cruise there but went on one in Turkey and it was good crack.. Usually play drinking games etc...

If u want good dance music avoid the irish bars.. go the Kasbah Centre in the english centre, they have loads of good bars and any decent clubs would be along there, cream, pasha etc... The irish bars are just Karaoki and chart music all night...

As for the jet ski's id say you'd be looking at €30 at least for a half hour..

There is no decent dance music there. All clublands bollox, but if thats your digestive, then dunk away.

Between €35 and €45. The more you spend, the faster the ski. You unfortunately dont get free reign. You just get to circulate two bollards about 300m apart.

Looks like I wont be renting a jetski so. Thanks for info. Are there many daytrips etc. We would prefer to spend a full day seeing all the stuff worth while i.e. we would like to maximise our time on the island.

We stayed in maspolomas. Is that in playa de english? anyways...we found Puerto Rico to be better for day trips and little adventures but the night life isnt so great.

Theres Go Karting, Aqualand (not great value though), Palmitos Park (Safari type place).. dont worry you'll be bombarded with flyers and other literature advertising all the local day trips etc...
