Can anyone tell me how you use the reauthor feature with dvd shrink? whenever I click it it just launches a new window, but its not like you can drag anything into that window? Im stumped. Any help appreciated.

Off the top of my head, there should be a list of the bits of the DVD on the right, one of them being mail title or something like that. Drag the bits you want (probably just main title) to the empty pane at the top left and then click on the Compression tab to pick out the compression levels and audio tracks you want.

Cheers for that lads. What I wanted to do was just strip out 1 annoying title that autoplays at the start & takes about 2 mins to watch through. Looks like it cant do that.

You defo can do that once you're willing to lose the menus and stuff. You can decide the start and end frames, excluding the annoying stuff.

If you use DVD Decrypter to write after Shrink you can remove the inability you have to skip that piece, ie removing PUOs.

Thats the thing though. I dont want to change anything about the disc apart from this annoying thing that plays on start up.

Shamrok how do you strip it out in decryptor?

Well, if you have Shrink set up to work with Decrypter (and not Nero) all you do in Decrypter is click on the tools menu and click on settings, then tick 'Remove PUOs' in the 'IFO Mode' table. This will not remove the piece you are talking about but it will allow you to skip it via the remote.

Once its backed up it can be skipped alright, so thats not really an issue. Its more whether theres actually a way of removing it altogether (Im just being anal about not wanting it on there)

Google for pgcedit. DVD Shrink, it would appear, indeed can't do that. Pgcedit, on the other hand, when used in conjunction with DVD Shrink (or something else suitable), can. Not that I've used it myself though I've a title I plan to use it on. Takes a bit of getting used to and you may want a good guide if you're not familiar with the way DVDs are authored.
