Anyone else starting to get annoyed that the information about paying postgrad fees and course information has still not been sent out a week before the course starts?

I know that feeling.

I received a letter two days ago asking me to confirm my acceptance of an offer in the Arts faculty by August 30th. This is strange since I've already confirmed my acceptance over six weeks ago.

I don't know when classes begin, but according to the NUIG website my registration takes place on Spetember 5th. I can only assume that classes begin on the same day.

UPDATE: I've just received quite a sizable textbook in the post with a letter from the head of the department asking me to have all 800 pages read before my course starts in September!

Not a sausage from them aside from "Congrats, you're in and here's the deposit receipt". But then again, I "dealt" with admin there for 4 years as an undergrad.

"What's this? You want to see my birth cert for the 4th time in a year?"

Yeah - admin at NUIG for post-grads is ... weird.

I'm a postgrad in biochem and rang the fees office to see what the story was. They said I had to call to the new reading room to pick up my registration form because they made a sh1te of sending them out. Went there, q'ed, got it.

This "easier online registration system" has already had me going to 3 different places to complete registration, easier my smelly foot!

Apparently they've been having problems with the registration system lately.

Lately? Been here 8 years (how sad!) and never had a pleasent event-free registration. :rolleyes:
