Crack in my laptop screen

I accidentally hit my laptop screen, and now it has, what looks like a huge crack on it, like a crack on glass. Is there any way to fix this, or will I have to get a new laptop?

You could replace the screen (try eBay etc) but that could prove very expensive. It depends on the age and value of the laptop on whether it would be cheaper to repair or replace it.
