whats science like in nuig?

    ive just accepted my course in nuig!just wondering about how much work you have to put in in to keep high marks!

    that depends on how smart you are,it's all relative.I know a lot of science students...they passed.
    If you did ok in science subjects and you enjoy them then you should have no problem.physics ftw and all that.

    You'll do fine.

    Much of the first semester is just going over the LC stuff again, as only 40% of the class will have done Chem.

    Have you decided on what group you are going to take?

    I'm in group E: Chem, Physics, Maths, Comp Sci

    i would say you would be doing in the low 20's.

    Science isn't difficult as long as you have the lecture notes. In 4th year you have to go a little beyond the notes to get the better grades but the first 3 years is just vomiting the lecture notes onto a page in the exams.

    In fairness, the toughest year is 1st year. Once you get over that its all free-wheeling. You'll have around 4-5 lectures a day monday - friday and then the praticals for about 2-3 hours on 3 days a week.

    Enjoy the course, the science students are usually very easy to get on with because we are all in smelly labs together and that melds the class together! :D
