Advice on NAS Storage Unit?

Does anyone have any experience with NAS storage units for home/consumer (as opposed to business) use?

I’m not very familiar with them, so I thought I’d turn to trusty boards for some advice.

Ideally what I’d like is a NAS storage device that connects wirelessly to the wireless home network. The NAS would:
    - Act as a repository for all digital files
    - Be accessible from outside the home via the internet
    - Ideally as another drive option in ‘My Computer’ (a bit like the ‘GDrive’ interface)
    - Perform Frequent / Continuous back-up of data on 2-3 laptops

Does such a product exist? And if so, does any one have any experience of using them, and any recommendations?

The closest product I could find to this on the web was here (but it isn’t wireless): http://shop4.outpost.com/product/4297524?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG

    Cheers for the advice.
