Is there anyway to bet online without having to make a credit card payment.
All the ones which I have encountered require a deposit of €100 if you use a bank transfer.
Do any of the irish betting shops allow you to top up an online account in the store?
    Thanks for your help.

Yes. Walk into Paddy Power. Tell them you want to lodge money to your PP account. Cash is fine. The teller will then ring the PP HQ and they'll instantly add the money to your account.

    It's not uncommon.

Ring PP now and register an account (over the phone.) Tell them you want to set up a cash account where you will lodge the cash in at your local branch. There won't be a problem.

Have a look at their charges before you go getting one?
    4 Euro if it's under 100 Euro!
So if you bought 20 Euro 3V voucher , it would cost you 24 or 20%
Not cheap if you only want it for something small.

Same with boylesports (although paddy power is a better bookies, i reckon). If you have a laser card, pp will take that online.
