    Hi,
I just got a Dell Inspiron 6000and am very pleased with it. However I am not having too much luck connecting to my home computer wirelessly as I had hoped to do. The laptop has an intel ProWireless 802.11 card and my home pc (a medion) is equipped with Wireless XL WLAN IEEE 802.11g. I just want to set up an ad hoc connection between the two but neither computer is recognising the other at all.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks in advance.

Can you give some more details?
What operating systems? Are you using SP2? If so, it shouldn't be too much trouble, theres a wizard for it.
If youre not using SP2 on both machines, I suggest you upgrade, then try again.
