haven't heard the new album yet but he's such a good artist.

The Village (previously Mono, Mean Fiddler) has a incompetent layout and suffers from poor sound.

No matter where you stand you cannot avoid being shunted out of the way constantly by people on their way to the bar or the toilets (appallingly positioned).

As a wise lady once said
'It's a godawful, overpacked hellhole and people should be ashamed to put gigs on in there, or even ask human beings to darken its doors.'

Ah crap. I was really looking forward to seeing Jimmy Chamberlin there this Friday. Bad sound for JC and his kit is not an option :(

We should Hallowe'en theme the gig. I'm definitely going to this. The Village isn't great, but it's not like we have a choice, unless you wanna go see him somewhere else in Europe. He'll be playing a good few in England, presumably, take a long weekend?

anyone know when tickets are on sale? I'm desperate to get to this and live in cork so must book them online! tried ticketmaster but they're not available yet, and the mcd link is a bad link!

the new album is A-MA-ZING. I'm loving it as much as seven swans at the mo, although it's obviously much closer in form to Michigan/A Sun Came.

casimir pulaski day is a ****ing sad song!

Great song, my favourite off Illinois :D

Anyone know when tickets are on Sale? And is the Village really that bad? All standing?

ps He's bringing his full band!

devendra banhart was great at the village even if there was a random drunk in the corner shouting abuse. Noah got slightly offended.

think I might go to this gig too even if the village does suck. From what I've heard he is really good, must listen to his album a bit more.

I actually noticed the album was in the top 5 in Tower's own chart a while ago and thought it strange. I had never heard of him untill he was mentioned in Uncut
