Wireless problem

    Hi,
    I just got a Dell Inspiron 6000and am very pleased with it. However I am not having too much luck connecting to my home computer wirelessly as I had hoped to do. The laptop has an intel ProWireless 802.11 card and my home pc (a medion) is equipped with Wireless XL WLAN IEEE 802.11g. I just want to set up an ad hoc connection between the two but neither computer is recognising the other at all.

    Can anyone help?
