Old BBC FTV card

I got a BBC FTV card sent to me from my brother in London over two years ago when the BBC ran the service. But I never got it activated. Well I was over in my brothers place in London over the weekend and took the inactive card and my digibox over with me. We plugged it in to his phone line to do an install via the installer’s menu to see what would happen. Guess what it activated itself. Now I have the card and box back here in Galway and all systems go. Im astonished !!! But pleased.

Loftus, can you tell me did the process above marry the card to that box,
or will the card work on any box ?

Did this card have the yellow house symbol on it or was it one of the older type?
