Excuse my ignorance but can one of ye tell me how many karate types there are and what each are like, as well as wait makes them so different or alike.

I know there is Shotokan (my instructor also trains in this) and Kenpo. What others are there and what are they like. I might just consider taking one up as a way of broadening my understandings of MA.

Funny man!!! :D I'm aware of that.... a condensed form of Karate I suppose.

So what is Shotkan like? And what is Kenpo like? What are the difference/simularities, and origins of each, etc?

    Shotokan is based Okinawan Karate.

Kenpo/Kempo uses movements of direct chinese origin. (and Elvis  )

Remind me to ask my good friends at Google to bring up some literature on them both when I have a chance. I'm always interested in doing bits of MA research, particularrly when it comes to origin and history of various arts.

    Fiona,

There is some interest in our club but until we 'officially' return there have been no commitments.

You mailed the board before about your grading how’s that training going?
