modems and network cards

    just wondering...

    i have an external pace.
    can i now stick a network card in as well and that will run fine?

    last experience i had at qp i had to remove internal modem because.. er i dont know why but they wouldnt work together.

    and anyone want to give me a free network card smile.gif

    Yes they will work grand, sometimes there is a conflict between modems and network cards, i dunno why, i dont think it is an irq thing. Anyways i have had my modem and network card sitting in my computer for ages amd i have never had a problem with them.

    wild guess here but it has to do with your comport and how you have it defined in your bios...
    External modem - internal networkcard
    different options... i could be wrong here?
    But i had the same prob ages ago and it was somehting like that...
