I am buying DVDs off media write for a friend and wanted to know if anyone ever used these blank DVDs http://www.mediawrite.ie/4xdvd-r.htm ( first one in the list -> Mediawrite White Top Unbranded 1 - 4X 4.7GB DVD-R in a tub of 100 ) and are they good, do many fail?
Or does anyone recommend any other DVD-Rs off mediawrite

    Thanks

I use Memorex DVD+R and I've never had any trouble. They're well priced, about 25 for maybe €15-20. They've never failed. Why do you need to buy them there. You'd be better off shopping around.

I would never ever buy another brand of DVD where i do not know the media code of the discs. I don't know the media code of those discs you linked, therefore i wouldn't buy them.

Check out www.blankdiscshop.co.uk and google for quality tests of those media codes.

    EDIT:
My last batch were these: Datawrite Printable (8x) DVD+R. MCC003.

    Fair enough.

I'd highly recommend the MCC003 media type. Used em myself, and they always seem to get good reviews.

Comes out at €32 per 100 + postage (at €16.23 flat-rate) from blankdiscshop.co.uk, so you either buy in bulk or get together with a few others and place a combined order and split the postage.
