    Should u be applying both?

I assume these are gortex boots? I only ever applied the paint on (while liquid) wax to mine and every so often I used their condioning stuff to wash them out internally.

Had Meindls over ten years and they're still in excellent condition. I just use G-wax. Using two products on them is unnecessary.

yeah, their a pair of meindl eagles. the sports wax softens and protects the leather but doesnt water proof them, the spray on wet proof does the waterproofing. theres plenty of info on what they do, just not on how to apply them.

    Not gortex boots so?

yup, they are all right . im following the instructions given with the boots but i do see your point.perhaps the wet proof aids in waterproofing ?

ive emailed meindl themselves to find out the correct procedure.

Its worth getting it right anyway but like i said I just used the paint on wax with no problems and mine are over 10 years old.

Nik Wax but I have been told before it max not be the best of the paint on waxes. The Meindl stuff wasn't available when i got my boots anyway. Iv had no probs anyway guys in great outdoors sold me the lot.

meindl got back to me (very helpful guy called hubert).
the sportswax and wet proof spray can be used together . spray goes on first, followed by the wax.
