Was thinking, it would be great if there was a gym where, instead of working out by lifting weights and all that boring sh!te, you go and smash stuff up! If you could just go into a room with a load of old TV's, fridges, cars, whatever, with a big sledge hammer and just go at it! Aswell, it could be marketed as an extreme stress-relieving work out aswell.

Not only this, but you could also be doing a community service, by breaking down all recycle-able products.

Insurance could be an issue methinks!

Saw something like that on TV before, its in Japan.

Theres a room where people can go and smash a load of vases (made to look expensive but are actually cheap).

I could do with something like that sometimes!

Sounds like a smashing idea (boom boom!, I like it.

Would never work here in Ireland of course, due to the already mentioned insurance scenario.

Maybe it could be government subsidised as punters could essentially be assisting in the recycling process!

I'd actually say insurance is a very big expense in Gyms anyway. A lot of heavy machinery, and its not like the average member would be used to such things.

In fact, a friend of mine witnessed a bad accident in a gym where some machine toppled over onto someone

That already exsists in Japan and the UK and tones of the in the states. I went to one is Boston. It's a big junk yard with every thing from cars to tv sets and fridges. I payed $30 for a hour. They gave us a walkie talkie incase we get into any problems and so they can call when your time is us. They also supply you wuth protective goggles and orange overalls...... and the most important thing!

    A Choice of Sledgehammers

It has to be said that if your stressed spend a hour in this place then go get a massage and you;ll feel a million times better. Worth every penny.

I know in so of they you can even get chain-saws...... SCARY yet cool!
