i made the huge mistake of installing pithhelmet for safari, and i can honestly say it's the worst piece of software i've ever had to use! (if only avant browser was ported to mac...)
So how do i uninstall this? couldn't find anything on google, nor in pithhelmet, or safari.

Unbelievably, that information can be found on their website
    2.2 Uninstalling PithHelmet

Removing (trashing) the PithHelment.bundle from /Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins folder will effectively remove PithHelmet from Safari.

Have you tried Firefox and adblock ?

naw, i love safari on it's own. it fits my needs, and i really dislike Firefox. it's too slow and clunky. i like the pure simplicity of safari!
    thanks again

    What about Camino

It has built in advertising block(basic), but you can install the excellent Camitools

Camino would be regarded as the favoured browser for mac heads :)

sound, i'll give it a shot. did that question really make me look like a newb? no matter, i'll more than likely upgrade to 10.4 from 10.3 today.

the 3 mac browsers are more or less down to preference, i dabbled with pith helmet, and came to the same conclusion you have.

Choose whatever suits, you'd need to be using each browser for a week or so to build up the cache.

I'm happy with on 1.39 and don't forsee an upgrade for a good while
