my father's laptop has a problem,
when i first lookat at it, just after booting up, it starts to install software with the name starting with AOIS i think.
i put antivirus(avg) and it asked for a reboot. now it starts the same software install again and causes the system to reboot before you have the chance to do anything.
I can run safe mode, and have access to the internet through safe mode(but pobably with out a firewall
    Any Ideas?
    thanks inadvance

If you're booting into safe mode then open up msconfig from the run menu, Start > Run > MsConfig. Go to the start up tab and have a look at the programs that are starting up, if you spot any suspicious ones then untick the tab and it wont run on the next reboot. If you don't know what you should be ticking/unticking, then apply a process of trial and error.
