Right, my water cooling system is actually sitting outside my computer case so i need you guys to recommend me a case, it needs at least one 12cm fan opening, side window, and be able to fit a water cooling system into. i see endurence man has the ideal setup, wuts ur case? you water cooling system is exactly the same too.

    Cheers
    David.

Well it comes with 2 fans at the rear that are just perfectly placed to be over most gpu points and CPU HSF sockets too. There's also a fan hole on the side panel that you can mount a fan/funnel on to help cool an oc'd CPU if need be.

Over all I give this case a 10/10. I've 2 of them sitting in my house - my brother has the same case (my choice). I simply can't fault it.

Get my case :D. Its the Antec Super Lanboy. Now it is cramped in here, but if u configure everything correctly its just perfect. The build quality is very good, and it has 2 120mm fans. Im lovin mine and for the price im very happy with what u get. Not gonna find an alluminum case with this build quality for the same price (not in ireland that is) .

sparky_s i have the black shark case, very happy with it, well built as you expect and looks good. pletty of room to move around inside. removable mobo tray is a great bonus too. i recommend it!!!!

I also ALMOST bought the shark but then saw it at the gamecon lan  , its massive, never realised but its really huge. My few components would be lost in there. It would probably cripple my desk and carrying it around would be a mission. But what a cool looking case, if it had been a little smaller it woulda been sitting on my desk now :) .
where did u get it and how much did you pay?

Got it via my dads suppliers (cheap cheap), payed 80 bucks and thats with shipping and all :).
I really think u need to see the cases in the flesh before deciding, the pics on the net really dont show how big these things really are. Was in peats today and they have a few new cases including, the super lanboy for 110E  . They also still have that 1 akasa eclipse.

Agree with everything but airflow :o , iv heard terrible things about the airflow in there cases, they only use 80mm fans and there Wavemaster is said to have horrible cooling. 80mm are out, 120mm are in :D .

woah that viper case, has got me now stuck between getting the shark or it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 482 ✭✭heffo9

imo, i reckon the shark is a better quality case.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,240 ✭✭✭Endurance Man

Yup, think i would agree with heffo :). There is a lot of plastic on that viper case and i believe the chassis is steel which is gonna make it heavy. I think for the money that shark is a good deal, its huge and all alluminium, so will be a bit lighter.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,231 ✭✭✭✭Sparky

yeah im going with the shark, mainly because i fell in love with it first off, plus i think the viper case is a bit of overkill.

Dunno where you heard that rubbish but CM cases rock for airflow. The newer versions of the cases all have 120mm fans. Also note most if not all of the CM cases are aluminium and that reduces temp by a huge factor.

I have to agree, have the Stacker myself and the best decision I ever made. So much room, up to 4 x 120mm fans, up to 3 x 80mm at the same time! Build quality is amazing and it just looks sh1t cool!
