When is the next intake of Gardai due to take place?
I want to apply, but the Garda site refers to publicjobs but there is mention of these jobs on it?
    Can anyone direct me? Thanks

Theres a huge thread further down on this!! (Garda aptitude test...go to the last page or 2 of it)But basically there's a rumour that they are recruiting again later in the year (last time paperwork had to be in by November).
If you register on the public jobs site that you have an interest they will mail you as soon as anything happens.

    Best of luck

There is a bit of talk it could be as soon as sept-oct but no one can confirm i am keeping an eye on it like yourself. Have you applied before?

My brother's a garda and he thinks the next intake may happen in November. It really depends on how many people are in the college at the time, different phases are either in the college, in the town or on placements around the country so it partially depends on how much space they have.

I do know that the next batch to pass out is the biggest ever. It will be 287 people. I think when they go there'll be another intake.

canavan, the salary is about 22 starting off, the other thread has it all. what are you studying? I would say they still have to take about 1500 more into training over the next two years, what u think. i dont think they will leave it as long as next June!

They start on 24k not including overtime and allowances. You're also paid while staying in the college (about €200 a week) and given a rent allowance when given your placement.

Ya that sounds about right, i am fairly sure that they will start advertising the next campaign in sept. Do they start taking applications as soon as they advertise or do they advertise a month before applications, anyone know??

As soon as the ad appears you can apply, the easiest way to do it is to go to publicjobs.ie.
