Oh, now this is more like it! It's about time somebody included an accurately modelled Mondello Park in a racing game. I don't think I've ever seen Mondello offically included in a racing sim before. The only thing that has come close that I can recall was a downloadable player-designed version for the old GP2 game, and even then that was far from being an accurate model of the track. So I'm delighted to see it included in this game.

Well, they sure done good with GTR & both GTR & LFS S2 have been rocking my boat... USB wheel... whatever steadily for a while now.

But this!?! Just downloaded the demo & tried it last night & this is the abso-f*ckin-lute mutts' :eek: - can't get enough of that Stingray's growl and I just gotta see if it'll run on the lappie at all so I can output sound through the 5.1

Does anyone know if it's worth downloading this onto m Celery1600 GeForce2Go laptop? I just got my logitech driving force pro (the gaming PC comes next) and i'm about to install GPL (been trying it out with GT4 for now) but GTL would be sweet, too!

It *could*just about run decently - the game configuration (pre-loading the game) lets you configure which DirectX version (7/8/9) to use for the shaders, and it could run at base level in 640 or 800 (I think min. 32 bits colour though, so check your card output). Put it that way - it's that good that it's worth the download just to see if it will run

Well worth it, low-fi mode or not, and if (as I believe) it will run in at least playable form on your current rig, well... you'll be getting that gaming PC faster than you thought

I've been thrashing the heck out of my Modena 360 Pro myself - boy, that Lotus can be a handful!)

Of course, depends what floats your boat, really.

I've always had more of a "thing" for 60s-70s racing classics (911s, Shelbys) than for shiny new McLarens & Listers - all to do with how the engine sounds, I'm afraid (the demo does run on my D600 - just! I tried it on 5.1 last night: O-M-G-I-H!!! Neighbours must have thought I had a 1:1 scale Scalextric going in my lounge )

Though with how small the scene of classic racing is (you mostly hear about Goodwood in the media and that's it), they get comparatively very little exposure, so I get by with GTs - and GTR is so far, in my opinion, the second best PC racing games after LFS... but about to be shunted into 3rd

It will be far better than GTR.
GTR is already old imo.
Right this minute LFS S2 is the best sim out there imo but next week rFactor is released and GTL soon after

Most people who get this demo will have GTR previously installed, and it's got starforce anyway.

I downloaded it and tried it, but it doesn't run very well on my machine
