I'm not sure if this should be here, or in the photo forum, but has anyone else seen the picture on the front of today's Irish times? IMO it's an outstanding piece of photojournalism.

I can't really ger a larger image off ireland.com, and you need to see it's full size to appreciate the irony. The key is the text on the A4 page taped to the window in the backgrouond.

I've attached the best image I can find online...

I saw this yesterday, thought it was excellent.

That is a great picture (the Connolly one).

Here's a superb one from a Canadian newspaper covering a meeting between Ford Motor company and the workers union, as linked by my cousin on his blog:
    getimage.aspx-706615.jpg

A little bit of detail from the post:
"The headline: "Arming for battle" is perfect too.

It might be hard to see from this tiny image, but the shot shows a group of CAW negotiators reaching across the table to press the flesh with the representatives of Ford Motor Company's HR and labour relations team.

But you don't even need that detail to work out which side is which here. The close crop image of uniform black suits versus bare, muscular forearms says it all."

That's a class photo of Connolly.

    Agreed!
I laughed so much when I first saw that... to the odd wonder of the shoppers around me.
    It really is opportunistic stuff.
    I've attached a larger image :)

There was a powerful photo on the front of the Examiner earlier this week.

It was of the Polish woman in Killarney who was charged in relation to her three year old child's death. Her son was photographed trying to protect his mother as she was led out of court. It was excellent.

I think the best I ever saw was on an Austrialian news site. It was a story of a baby who died in a house fire, and Iomega had an ad for their zip drives at the top which read "Burn baby, Burn!"

I have to try and find the screenshot :D
