idea re tourney

We at Ace High Card club as going to run our charity event again in January (I know it is a while away)
the pay outs etc for the last one here
with Tom's report is here .

I have a few questions for the boards crew before we sort out the details of the tourney.
1) we arranged a deal for b&b of €35 pps. would it matter to players if this was more ie €50/60. Reason might change hotels:
2) Is there any major event comming up in Jan that we dont want to clash with?
3) for prizes like full boat/ royal/straight flush you have top give prizes in future they will have to come out of prize money luckly we had some sponsoprship that covered them that wont happen again I expect.
4)As there are 2 major poker sites in Ireland boards and poker.ie I was thinking of having a comp between the 2 sites as part of the tourney. People would say which site they were playing for and we would keep track of where they went out. maybe points for finishing places which ever site came out on top got a prize. (some one might sponser a trophy hint hint pitboss)
5) Anyone willing to give some decent sponsership to the event to get the chips printed on and buy some more (hint again pitboss )

6) Tom and bohsman what would you change about the night as you were there.(other than geting better cards and dieing with a hangover the next morning )

To be honest I would stand over my comments that it was one of the best run events outside a professional casino and better then some of those too!! I´d go again...

I think AntesUp v Poker.ie is more appropriate as this is just a discussion board after all.

my idea is that there are a crew who mainly post here and a crew that mainly post there, so a team of say 10/15 players on each team so many points for finishing 1st etc etc will be hard to do early in the tourney but would get easier later. maybe early based on time early .
It is just an idea and whether or not it is antesup or boards doesnt matter to me.
It isintended to be some fun and get as many as possible involved and also obviously sell as many tickets as possible

Green Joker Poker will supply chips for the night for you as long as the date does not clash with any of our own tournaments. What night are you planning to run it? If it is a Saturday then we will come down with chips and poker tables.

Antes Up will obviously win any challenge matches :cool:

Idea: Get a trophy made and the losers of the challenge (Poker.ie) will pay for it.
