Nothing so still as a calming lakes whisper
Where thoughts dwell on a shadowy night
and dreams lazily lie by a moonlit strand
Where I thoughtlessly dwelled out of sight

I lamented in the shaded palms of a blissful moon
And traced the clouds edge with my pointed thumb
To fall to endless blithe in placid silence imbued
Only to wake under the watchful starlight, so numb

I looked across this lonely lake
At the sight of a black thorn bush alone
Standing proud against a moon kissed rock
    Standing atop the manifold stone

And black it was, taunting the night
For supremacy of this ashen paradise
And I stood in awe at this awesome sight
Before falling back into ballast mind

    And in this apollonian place
    I found a world within a world
Where dreams existed in a night so bold
In a budding rose that fore uncurled

And uncurled at once to reveal a day
That lifted the cover of night born travesty
And this visceral apogee of time
Only serves ornate to my overt majesty.
