The wife has finally had enough of the floor tiles in our kitchen that were in the house when we bought it and so she wants me to lift them before we get a tiler in to put new ones down. Has anyone here done this and if so do you have any tips?

    Thanks

Hammer and broad chisel to start you off, lift a couple then get a shovel and get it in under the rest of the tiles.Dont forget safety glasses.

most hire shops also rent large scrappers.

its a flat hard steel blade and a long handle.

this can be used for getting rid of left over adhesive after brutally attacking the tiles.
