I've just bought a cordless phone, but when I brought it home I suddenly realised that it might affect my AirPort network. Would it?

I have wireless network [with both a mac and PCs connected] and a cordless phone - no problems to report.

    Happy wireless computing!

If it operates at 2.4 GHz there is the potential for interference, if you do experience issues try switching channels and enabling Interference Robustness...

    More info from Apple:
    AirPort: Potential sources of interference

I have been using airport express for the last few months. When I started I had only just "switched' to Mac. It seemed to be Ok, but I was only new to broadband as well, so I was not sure what performance to expect. Using the internet and downloading files was a lot faster, because I had the extra bandwidth but I was never sure if I was getting all of the extra bandwidth benefits. Most of the time it was suffice for my needs. I also tried out the air tunes idea and it was quite exciting but in reality it is too 'stuttery' to be enjoyable.
After putting up with this set up for a while, I recently tested it out by moving my iMac down to the same room as the airport express. Straight away I got the four bars on the airport icon and all the points on the internet connect window. However, I still could not see eg the WWSF Keynote stream. I could see it when I connected the ethernet cable directly to the iMac.
Basically, I am very disappointed with Airport Express (to put it mildly) and I cannot understand all the enthusiasm for it. It's not that good. I understand that you can have decrease in performance over distance, through various boundaries and interference by various devices but I did not even get full performance from just a few feet away.
