World Heavyweight Championship wwe

I had been under the impression that the world heavyweight title, which Batista currently holds, was the title that got carried over from WCW. However, was looking at title histories on wwe.com, and it appears that triple h is the first title holder (given it after wwe got rid of the undisputed title).

Unlike the United States title which has a history going right back.

So basically I'm just wondering if I'm right now, and this is a separate title to the old wcw title.

It was the old WCW title. The WCW history of the title was up on the title histories on wwe.com up until a few weeks ago! Don't know why they got rid of the WCW history of it!

The history of the Cruiserweight title still goes back to the WCW days too!

they got rid of the pre HHH world championship history when it went to smackdown. Triple H probably kicked up a fuss about it not being the most prestigious title around at the moment cos he couldn't contend for it, well that and the smackdown title being the joke that it is

That title belt lost all credability during the final few months of WCW it became an embaressment

If I remember correctly Benoit won it and gave it back before leaving for the WWE stating that it was about as valuble as a piece of tin or sumthing like that (im sure theres plenty who could give you the exact quote, but that just goes to show how much I cared about WCW at that stage)

They gave the title for HHH, as he wanted his own title, as he is married to the owners daughter wonder how far he would have got if he was in the NWA in the 80's, he is no way a Ric Flair!

    Yeh Your very right corpus...

It sickened me when i read recently that HHH said he would like to go on and win more World Titles than Flair as a tribute to him...

    Bull$hit

I don't know, Triple H is one of my favorite wrestlers but I do think what he said adout Flair was kinda' stupid.
