Luas and Kamikaze pedestrians

I saw this on another board and I'll thought I post it up :D

I'm just after getting off 3026 at Connolly after having a very very near miss with a Kamikaze old biddy running along the traffic island in Amiens St and across the tram line for her 115 bus to Mullingar (which wasn't even going for another 35 mins according to the BE timetable) just as we were pulling out of the Busaras stop.

God I got a fright, I can't imagine how the driver and his instructor felt. You need nerves of steel to drive trams on the on-street sections!

I hate to say this but the sooner some Kamikaze pedestrian gets killed or seriously injured by a tram the public might start having some respect for the dangers of running / walking (!) in front of trams.

I say 3026 has some wheelflats now!

I can be really dangerous when two trams pass at a pedestrian crossing, common I suspect on O'Connell Street.

I saw two women allow the first tram to pass, they ran half way across, saw other tram, freaked and ran back to the footpath.

Same with car drivers, they expect the trams to swerve somehow .. :D
