Band needed!

Hey, i'm actually looking for a full band; guitar, bass, drums & keyboard. I can sing, and write lyrics, but i'm not great at actually playing instruments or writing music. I'm 15, live in dublin and would love to show the world that Irish ppl can make it just as well as the Americans!! So, mail me at sakura_dragon1@hotmail.com :rolleyes:

oh right! lol, thanx!! I listen to Evanescence, Good Charlotte, The Rasmus and Nightwish a lot. Christina Aguilera is my idol, as i respect her work a lot. and i'm hoping ppl won't take this as a joke! :mad:

hahaha Well Nirina if you can't find a band after a while you may just want to concentrate on being as good a singer as you can be, or if the search really isn't successful you might want to reconsider taking up an instrument. It'll always stand to you, you'll be able to accompany yourself and I think you are a bit young to completely rule out learning an instrument, all it takes is the will and perseverance.

I do play the piano but i'm not the most fabulous at it!! (No amy lee or alicia keys!) But i like my influences, there!! And if i can't find a band, i guess i'll hav to go solo. But i'd much prefer to share it with a band..

Yeah they really are the cornerstones of piano playing on this planet ¬_¬.

Anyway if I were you I wouldn't be surprised if I (you) didn't find a band at this stage, you have years and years ahead of you and 15 is often too young for anything organised to start happening but you never know, just don't expect to have to be solo the whole time, it'll get better when you're older.

Oh i know i'm too young to start yet, but ya need to get started yourself, playing round with a band and getting used to the idea. Then mayb in a year or so, i can look into the more business section. KNow wat i mean?

Well you may want to muster the energy to show that you have more eclectic influences so as not to pigeon hole yourself.

Give her a break guys, influences evolve, the angst years end, and the cool rebellious melodies of Dylan tend to take over, if one is any way musical. Keep at it Nirina, and tone down the mainstream a little, try listening to something you wouldnt normally. After all we dont decide what mainstream is, but we do decide whats good and whats utter crap. Keep singin and train your voice and in time bands will be lookin for you.

And whats this about GC and Rasmus being pop. Where was I when that happened? Sounds like heavy metal to me???

thanx cjs19, i do sing a lot but haven't found a reallly good voice-training teacher yet. darn it! >.< as for the musical taste, i do try to like other things, like music my Bro is into. he has diff taste to me, tho we both like the Chillis!

@Brother A, i bow before you! thanx for saying GC & TR ain't pop, its so obvious they ain't! Maybe in the older years when they were starting off, but now; rock! Christina Agulera, eh? well i do love her music. So i guess i could try for something along her lines, she is so excellent. But i also wanna try find my own sound, know wat i mean?

emm..not to be a spammer..but GC and The rasmus aren't "rock" they are in fact Pop-popular and both are sellouts...and on the note GC aren't pukn neither!! nor Avril lavigne or MCR!
