3 medals so far..Derval o'Rourke got the bronze medal in the 100m hurdles in 13.02...Ailis McSweeney got silver in the womens 100m in 11.68 and as Common Sense posted hession claimed bronze in the mens 200m...

Aoife byrne was 8th in the womens 800m semi final in 208.79..On a brighter note the womens 4 by 400m team made it through to the final after they qualifed as a fastest loser..

Another medal for Ireland which now is 5 medals as the womens 4 by 100 relay team of Derval o'Rourke,Anna Boyle,Emily Maher and the in form Ailis McSweeney finished 3rd in 44.69 to claim the bronze(well done girls) Elsewhere in the half marathon Rahenys Vinny Mulvey was 21st in 107.46 and in the womens Jill Shannon finished in 11th in 1.20.26..So a grand total 1 silver and 4 bronze at the student games
