    Ahoy-hoy,

Anyone ever heard of an "Intel c52.sys" error? A friend of mine tells me that his sister's machine, upon starting IE, will bring up the usual browser window, with the connection dialog in the foreground. However, before connection is initiated (clicking "OK" etc), it BSODs with the afore-mentioned error message. Now, our old friend Google has never heard of this, neither have I, and neither has my friend (granted, no Google probably made the other two a given :D). So, anyone else like to take a crack at it, or has his sister just got the error message wrong?

    Cathaoireacha!

tell her to uninstall all the add-ons, and re-install IE(add/remove components)

or just tell her to use Firefox

If you take the space out of the driver name you can find it and it appears to be a modem driver.
Maybe check down this route, if it really has a space I suspect it is spyware or some such malware masquerading as a legit driver.

This should set you off on the right path anyway.

Thanks for the replies. The info was passed on to the lady in question, but I've heard nothing back since then.
