    Does this stuff need to be installed in equally sized pairs?

    I have a machine at home with 256mb of this stuff and Im thinking I will get another 256mb to double. But if I can stick in 1024mb more, then that would obviously be better.

    There are only two DIMM slots in the machine.

    only if your motherboard supports dual-channel, check the motherboard or pc manual

    <pimp>

    I'm selling 3 lots of 256 meg dimms. They're PC3200, so better than PC2700, but entirely backward compatible

    No you can freely mix and match between different sizes and different makes and different speeds of DDR RAM. Implication is that all memory will run @ the speed of the slowest stick

    Also since your mobo has only two slots, is it something a bit older or perhaps a Dell? You're probably not looking for a dual channel setup...
