Sorry for the delay in posting this. Noticed during RTE Sport in at least one of the News bulletins over the weekend that the updates on the USPGA showed a beer glass logo in the corner of the screen during the snippets of Sky coverage they showed. Sounds like some rules are being broken here. Anyone got any ideas on this! :D

yeah rte have a commercial sub like wise so should every area that is open to the public.

one question kinda involving public broadcast rights, centra in capel st have skynews from sky digital showing on all the tvs, do you reckon sky would care if they wernt paying for public showing rights of skynews or does this only apply to sub channels

not saying that centra dont pay a rebroadcast right

As far as I know a lot of those sporting clips are syndicated so RTÉ mightn't even have got them from source themselves.
Rueters for instance used have a satelite news feed combo of them as well as international news stories with just the background noise that the using broadcaster could add a commentary to for their own news prorammes etc.

The main Ulster bank in Sligo also has Sky News broadcasting on a few screens.

Sky News is not only free to air, its FTA on literally gobs of satellites - not just Astra 1 and 2. Sky -want- you to show it as many places as possible.
