Chipset Fan Making Funny Sounds

I bought a PC from a well known manufacturer 3 months ago. I have already had the PC repaired under warranty after 2 months due to a faulty Motherboad and hard drive. This cost me £50 in carriage costs.

Now after only having the PC back about 2 weeks I have another issue. The chipset fan has as of yesterday started making funny sounds. It makes a laboured whirring sound.

What should I do? It will cost me another £50 to get this looked at under warranty. I can buy a new chipset fan for less than that - however that really makes the warranty worthless.

The chipset fan slows right down when it is making noise and sometimes seems to go back to normal operation for a few minutes.
