Do you know of any common poker tells that people commonly do?

    I know of one:

    1. People tend to pretend there about to call a raise when you are looking to raise but not say it yet. They pretend by holding there chips when your holding yours.

Staring excessively at the board after making an out of line bet usually is a bluff.

Checking hole cards when the flop is all three of the same suit can almost garuntee you they havent hit that flush yet, theyre checking to see if the have one card of that suit.

SUDDEN shaking hands means a very strong hand! i've learned that one the hard way...

If a player exadurates his bet in any way, either by slamming chips down or moving his hand higher when putting the chips down, usually means the exact opposite of what he is trying to show. He is bluffing (MORE OFTEN THAN NOT!!!)

If the action is on you and your thinking and look over at a player and he reaches for his chips, he is trying to discourage your bet. He will most likely not bet himself or will even fold if you bet.

those are just some random tells that came to my mind... My friend has this "Mike Caro Book of Tells". I've flicked through and its pretty good. Theres also a video he made. but where could you find a popular video on the internet? ;)

Try limewire for that video. You might get lucky, though i don't condone the downloading of copyrighted material ;) !!

If a guy jumps up from the table, grabs his groin and thrusts it at you, all the while shouting "HOW DYA LIKE DEEEZ NUTZ?!?", then he's probably got you beat.

Could be a bluff though. Particularily if he's looking down and to the left while he's thrusting.

See the Howard Lederer ad at this link for a video of said performance -http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/commercials.php

"HOW DYA LIKE DEEEZ NUTZ?!?" may have been edited out in this family version of the ad.
