    newbie question but
    I am looking for the spec of my pc,such as RAM type and motherboard.reguarding an upgrade!
    i have went to system file from control panel and its fairly basic wher can i get this info,or do i ahve to open up the box and pull out the ram and buy a copy of it?

    easiest way might be go to start, run and type dxdiag then press ok.

    Or start programs, accessories, system tools, system info

    thanx for that but it just tells me that i have 512mb ram,do i have to physically remove it to check 1f its pc2100 or pc2700 or ddr etc etc
