I'm going to Spain next week and need to book a car for two days. The prices on the car rental web sites are fairly steep, over €200 for a small car for 3 days (not including extras). Has anyone any experience in this area? Do you think I'll get a better deal if I book in a car hire office when I get there?

Where in Spain ? Autos Pope in Malaga are cheap and dont care if you batter the cars. They will also meet and greet you and have the car waiting for you at the ramp or a short ride across the road at worst. The problem about using a broker is that you then have to go and queue with everyone else - one day I was waiting an hour to get my car - such a waste of time.
