I don't know anything about that hotel.
But i stayed in the Imperial Palace.
It's on the strip, close enough to the middle.
It only cost $50 a night for a double room.

I dont think you will beat this place for price....and if you do you will most likely be staying in someones house.

The gold coast is a similar price but slightly off the strip, the 4Queens is downtown, miles away from the strip

    Check out their website here.
They've got special on deluxe rooms for $65 including buffet lunch or breakfast.
You're close to all the major casino's and i'm pretty sure they have a monorail station now as well.
So you should be able to get around very easily.

You're probably only looking for a place to sleep and i doubt you'd find better for this price.

the 4 queens is in the old town which is more than a walk away from the strip where most of the action goes on, when i stayed in april i was advised not to walk between the 2 parts anyhow for safety

the imperial palace at 50 bucks a night is a steal, on the strip and right across the road from the mirage and walking distance to the bellagio which were my 2 favourite cardrooms

stayed myself in excalibur, luxor and tropicana, tropicana had the best rooms old fashioned but huge, the rooms in the other places werent worth the money but the facilities were great

play the bellagio at least once for pure luxury

    enjoy

If your goin midweek the sahara is $40 a room and is just north of the main strip and is on the monorail line so its easily accesible. Also the hilton offers double rooms for $60 midweek and we had 4 of us per room...plenty of space. Stay anywhere that is accesible by the monorail because youll collapse walking around in the heat otherwise

Ah the 4 queens was my lucky casino over there. Although i did loose it all in the end but i got a 6 hour roulette session with many a free jack and coke. Anyway the old strip rocks, i stayed in the Golden Nugget. You can get a bus pass which lasts 24 hours for 3 bucks or something and it comes every 7 mins or so(does the hole strip, old and new). No need to stay in the stratosphere or New York, New York or anything.

Although we did get some funny looks arriving into a 4 star hotel with our backpacks :D

Ah right. but i dont understand what the new and old strip is all about ???

Old is where all the big casinos used to be(nugget, 4 queens etc) and its located in the downtown area. New is where all the super casinos are, (circus circus, mgm etc) and its too long to walk

I've stayed downtown once or twice and on the strip about a half dozen times...my advice is stay on or off the strip if it's your first time there. You are paying €000s to get there, make the most of the experience! The Boardwalk is fairly reasonable, as is the Excalibur. Some of the big mega-hotels are fairly cheap mid-week too, check each hotel's website for the best deals, rather than travelocity or expedia.

Ye i know that. just bought a gaf so its hard ya know. the sahara is 1500 inc flights for 2 and the luxor is 1900

You could do worse than Excalibur - It's very very cheesy but it's large with a good gaming floor and the limits are cheap for the strip. Rooms are a good size as is the pool and restaurants aplenty.

For pure luxury go for the Ritz Carlton Ckub Rooms at Lake LasVegas or the new Wynn resort!!!!!

For best value I can recommend the Excalibur - across the road for Irish Pub in NewYork NewYork, direct mono rail link to Luxor & Mandalay Bay. And superb buffets.

Join their website and you'll get midweek rates of approx $40 - $50 per room (not per person!) weekend can be up to $120 and sometimes dearer during the very regular convention times.

All in all midweek is best for flights, hotel & getting around as the weekends are worse than Temple Bar!

Outside of gaming the 2 outlet centres are amazing value for money - so pack very light and fill up.

Stayed in the Luxor last year. Make sure you ask for a room close to the lifts on whatever floor they stick you on. Each lift only stops at a certain number of floors, and the lifts for each range of floors are in different corners of the building. We stayed in one of the corner rooms, but unfortunately it was diagonally opposite the lifts on our floor. Even though the building narrows as you go up and we were on something like 21 or 22, it's a hell of a long walk back to the room if you forget something and only remember when you're at the lifts.
