Im hoping to plan a 2 day hike in the comeragh mountains. i was wondering if anyone ahd any advice on where to a park a car overnight up there, im a wary of leaving a car in the mahon falls car park for a night.
also any suggestions on good routes and a camping location in the mountains?

    thanks

probably best buy a book on the comeraghs. Id park in the coilte wooded place that most people trek up to coumshingaun from, im not aware of whats on the cork side though, maybe its better over that side.

thanks for reply daithi, ive a few books on hill walking in the Comeraghs but they really only cover day walks as such. i think you're right about starting from the other side. the cork side is a (very ) public car park and id say , judging by the amount of beer cans (not too many...but enough!!) etc up there , there's a fair bit of activity up there during the weekends.
